Badol has upgraded his boat as well as his prices but the boat is big and spacious. Bait for today is live prawns.
Got to our first spot and the current was super strong. Even a size 10 sinker was swept away by the current. Tossed the rig in front of the boat in order for it to settle nearer the spot.
I was the first to hook up, a table-sized Grunter.
Then Badol got in on the action. He managed to hook up an Orange-Spotted Grouper that was under 2kg. Followed 30mins later with a beautiful Coral Trout about the same size. The colors are awesome!
Lunch time came and we had only a few other small fish. Moved a few spots but we didn't go far like we used to. Next spot I managed a smallish Blackspot Tuskfish aka Eng Ko.
Dark clouds began to form near shore around 4pm and by the time we finished fishing and headed back, the rain started to pour. Rained all the way to the beach. Fish divided equally and we headed back to JB for dinner.
Not a fruitful trip but Badol as usual is a hardworking captain who knows how to catch fish!
